Why It Matters
Help Protect the Life of Our Bay.
Pumping raw sewage into waterways contributes to pollution and algae blooms, may impact shellfish areas, and can close swimming areas. Proper pump-outs make it easier to do the right thing.
- Helps reduce pollution and shoreline impacts
- Supports shellfish areas and local ecosystems
- Can help keep swimming areas open

Most boaters pump out when the holding tank is about two thirds full. As a simple rule, plan on a pump-out after a busy weekend, before a longer trip, or every one to two weeks during frequent use. If you notice slow flushing, odors, or you are unsure how full the tank is, pump out sooner.
Use a marina or mobile pump-out service. Locate the deck fitting labeled “WASTE,” remove the cap, connect the pump-out nozzle, and start suction. When flow stops, rinse by adding a little fresh water through the deck fitting (or a rinse port if available) and pump again. Close the fitting securely when finished.
Call of Doody has been in business for 4 years, providing dependable mobile marine pump-out service to local boaters. Over that time, COD has built its reputation around convenience, consistency, and helping keep onboard waste systems maintained throughout the boating season. For customers, that means a service they can rely on when regular pump-outs are needed, whether for routine upkeep, odor prevention, or preparing for time out on the water.
Weather pending, COD typically begins operations in mid-April and continues through November. The exact start of the season can depend on weather conditions, water access, and overall boating activity in the area. Once the season is underway, customers can book service throughout the active boating months to keep their systems clean, functional, and ready for regular use.
